Nick’s father and uncle were in the print industry and he has made it his career, specialising in pre-press.

Nick says some of his earliest (and fondest) memories of growing up were visiting his Dad's and Uncle's print factories and workplaces where a passion for printing was firmly established - something that remains with him to this day. Following a four year apprenticeship in graphic arts in his hometown of Hull, East Yorkshire, Nick was able to cut his teeth on all aspects of the pre-press industry, starting in platemaking through to desktop operator with food packaging specialist, McGurk Studios.

That was 21 years ago, and in the interim, Nick and his partner Melanie made the move to New Zealand. He continued his career as an Account Manager with MH Group, CHH and more recently Colorite in their pre-press packaging operation. He joined Brandpack in June of 2011, as Pre-press Manager.

Nick is using the latest specialist software to generate print ready files and profiled press target proofs, state of the art CTP equipment to make printing plates. Everything is done in a digital environment.
