Cate brings wealth of experience to helping the company develop its industrial relations strategy and manage the implementation.
Cate has an array of experience in assisting employers across a wide range of industries in both Australia and New Zealand, with a major focus on the Printing and Packaging Industry, with employment related matters that affect their business. Cate’s experience includes providing strategic and practical advice in relation to IR Planning, mergers and acquisitions, large scale downsizing, resolving industrial disputes, negotiating enterprise agreement, drafting employment contracts and defending claims. Cate has considerable advocacy experience having successfully represented employers before Fair Work Australia and various state and federal Equal Opportunity Commissions and Tribunals.
Cate was involved in the extensive modernisation of the industrial award system and has provided practical advice on employees returning to work following periods of illness or injury.
Cate has a BA/LLB and a Graduate Diploma in HR/IR.
